Empower a woman, enable a family.
Over 25, 000 women from low-income families in Singapore are struggling to find a job and sustain a living. Singapore is the third richest country per capita in the world. Yet some mothers are forced to choose between providing lunch for their children and affording a $1.40 bus ticket to attend a job interview.
Sharifah is one such mother. Following her 7-year old daughter Athiyyah's diagnosis of special needs, Sharifah found herself unable to secure a job for a year after. Coupled with her duties as a single mother, Sharifah struggled between managing their financial difficulties and caring for her daughter. Through Daughters Of Tomorrow's Confidence Curriculum, Sharifah has been bridged with a job in the caregiving sector that gives her the chance to spend more time with her daughter, while providing a stable income for their family.
There are many more women just like Sharifah that Daughters Of Tomorrow reach out to. With our e-gift cards, these women are empowered with the most basic freedom to choose what they want. Give back the respect and dignity by gifting them the choice of their own meal, be it fish and chips, or a bowl of rice.
